After about a year and a half of construction work, the large monumental park that is historically part of the Royal Castle of Moncalieri opens its gates to the public for the first time. The Moncalieri Castle Park is a green area of great historical and botanical value, witnessing centuries of architectural and landscape transformations. Its creation is part of the history of the Castle, a Savoy residence that, from the 17th century onwards, has been the subject of interventions desired by sovereigns and prominent architects. Over its three centuries of history, the Park has gone through various phases of transformation, giving rise to its current conformation that reflects the stratification of various architectural styles, most of which are still recognisable.
