Both cultural and social stereotypes and some empirical evidence associate the propensity to take risks with masculinity; moreover, several international studies seem to confirm that women are generally less willing to take risks than men in various areas, including money management, health and sport. In the financial sphere, this translates, for example, into choosing more prudent investments. But overcoming stereotypes is possible. The cinema teaches us this: women have always embodied bold and determined characters on the big screen, capable of challenging the rules and taking risks. On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Museo del Risparmio, in collaboration with the Museo Nazionale del Cinema, proposes a special event to discover through the magical language of cinema the surprising link between femininity and risk: a journey that celebrates the strength and ability of women to take on challenges and transform them into opportunities.
