The film is a personal account of moments spent by the director with her father. The story is set during the leaden years, on the set of Pinocchio, the film her father is working on. She is a child but he speaks to her seriously as one would to an adult. Francesca grows up and becomes a girl in a historical period of change, but unfortunately also of massacres. Her passion for cinema always accompanies her but the magic makes way for insecurity. It is precisely in this fragment of Italian history that the heroine appears and spreads across the country, who deeply marked and disrupted the life of Francesca and her generation. Luigi is unarmed, but decides to stand by her side by taking her with him to Paris.
