Festival Musicale Rosario Scalero. Scalero for Students

29-11-2024

Stories of family and music will be the theme of Alberto Brunero's lecture-concert, Friday 29 November at 10.30 am. On the occasion of the meeting, which is part of the Scalero for students cycle, the Liceo Botta in Ivrea will also open its doors to the external public. ‘Together we will try to discover how important the family context is for the development of talent,’ explains Alberto Brunero, a young pianist and appreciated popularizer for prestigious realities such as MITO SettembreMusica and Associazione De Sono. ‘We will do this by retracing the lives of three important protagonists of classical music: we will start with Mozart, who began playing at a very young age thanks to his father Leopold, with whom he had a troubled relationship. We will talk about Clara Wieck, composer and extraordinary woman, who had to be at the side of a cumbersome husband like Robert Schumann while looking after his eight children, and finally Aleksandr Skrjabin, a visionary and eclectic personality who shared the love of music with his son Julian, who died prematurely’. Accompanying the story will be piano performances of some of the composers' most representative pieces.
