The Rosario Scalero Music Festival - an itinerary to discover special places and the talents of yesterday, today and tomorrow - returns, dedicated to the great musician and composer from Piemonte.
The festival’s proposal goes far beyond the performance of works: in fact, it explores the Canavese, which the Maestro chose as his place of residence and a fertile land for his art, purchasing the Montestrutto Castle as his home, where he died in 1954.
There are two appointments this week. On Saturday 21 in the 17th-century Villa Pasta in Burolo, where the duo Marco Nieloud and Maria Camilla Ormezzano will recount the great French chansonnier of the 20th century through music and words, in an enthralling recital in a swinging key. On Sunday 22, instead, we go to the Villa Casana park in Ivrea to inaugurate Scalero for Children, the ‘review within the review’ dedicated to children from 4 to 12 years old: the protagonists are the very young string instrumentalists of the Suzuki Centre of Canavese, accompanied by the stories of Claudio Zanotto Contino and his donkey Geraldina.
